2. General information on data processing

This website is implemented as a static site. No cookies are set and no cross-device or cross-site tracking takes place. For reach measurement, only a privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics service is used (see section 4).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA ("Vercel"). When you access the site, Vercel, acting as a processor, handles technically necessary access data (server log files) that your browser transmits automatically:

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free, secure and performant provision of the website. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel.

Vercel is a provider based in the USA, so personal data (in particular the IP address) may be transferred to the USA. This transfer is safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) and, where Vercel is certified accordingly, by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. 4. Web analytics (Vercel Web Analytics)

To analyse access statistics, I use Vercel Web Analytics, a service provided by Vercel Inc. (address see above). The service is cookieless and works without persistent identifiers: no cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device. It does not identify individuals and does not track across devices or websites.

Only aggregated data is collected, such as pages visited, referrer, approximate location (country), device type, operating system and browser. To distinguish visits, a non-reversible hash is generated from technical characteristics of the request and is discarded after at most 24 hours.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis and improvement of the website. As Vercel is based in the USA, the notes on data transfer in section 3 apply accordingly. More information: vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-and-compliance.

5. Fonts

The fonts used (Fira Mono and Fira Sans) are served locally from my own server. There is no connection to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts), and no personal data is transferred to third parties in the process.

6. Contact by email

If you contact me by email, your details (email address, message content) are stored in order to process your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to fulfil its purpose.

7. External links and social networks

This website links to external profiles (GitHub, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram). These are simple links; no content from these providers is embedded. Only when you click a link are you forwarded to the respective platform, whose privacy policy then applies.
